Before you write — nine honest answers.
Brief, price, refund, warranty, language order, materials, eligibility — the questions that arrive in our inbox most often, answered in one place.
What happens after I send the brief?
Within one working day we confirm your email arrived. Within five working days you receive a written answer — which product fits, the scope and price we would confirm, a start date, and anything we still need from you. Scope, price and timing discussions are free. Project-specific design and development begin after the agreed production start.
When do I pay — and in how many stages?
For Initium and Iter the answer is two: 50% at production start, 50% on acceptance. For Orbis it is three: 40% at production start, 30% when the preview build is submitted for your acceptance review, and 30% on acceptance. Care and Growth are prepaid for the period you choose. The full amounts and terms are on the
Pricing page.
Can I change my mind before work starts?
Yes. For Initium, Iter and a complete Orbis order the first payment is refundable in full if you cancel within 15 calendar days after payment and before Yonderwell sends the written production-start notice. After that notice, the started stage remains payable; later stages are not charged if you stop. The full wording lives on the
Legal & privacy page.
What if something breaks after launch?
Websites carry a written 30-day technical-defect warranty. Orbis adds a 90-day stabilisation period on top of that — two separate commitments, each clearly labelled in the contract. The full wording lives on the
Legal & privacy page.
Which extra language should come first?
The honest answer: add a language only when you have a real audience for it. In your brief, describe where your guests come from — the country, the search terms, the bookings you already take in another tongue — and we will say it straight, including 'not yet'. Published
Language Packs pricing sits alongside the rest on the
Pricing page.
What do you need from me before the clock starts?
Three things: a signed contract, the first stage of payment, and complete materials — your words, your photos, the facts your guests need, and your decisions on the direction we show you. Time begins only after Yonderwell sends the written production-start notice. The full
Process page walks each checkpoint.
My place isn't in one of the four programme places — can I still apply?
Yes. The ordinary brief path is open to any independent accommodation, dining or experience business, anywhere, all year. Separately, Selected Venue Collaborations offers a limited programme presented on the
Work page — including a small browser-only eligibility helper whose answer is only ever "eligible to apply" or "not covered", never a promise.
What exactly is a foundation?
It is one of the five information orders Initium is built from. Initium chooses the foundation that fits your place, writes it for you, and is responsible for taking the site live — it is not a template you download, not a DIY kit, and not an AI prompt. The five foundations, and the way each one shapes the page, are explained further on the
Initium page.
Who handles the domain and hosting?
Your choice. Everything can sit on accounts in your name — or we run it for you on our own servers across Asia, Europe and North America; managed hosting carries no separate charge with the Care plan. Either way we handle the setup and the paperwork, and the domain, the content and the code are always yours.
